Join green|spaces as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day with a special Virtual Lunch & Learn!
About this Event
What if there was a way to slow the accumulation of Green House Gases to mitigate or defer global warming? More and more people are considering how carbon sequestration could do just that!
We have an exciting panel that will share highlights from the upcoming Green House Gas Inventory for the City of Chattanooga along with how we are taking action right here in Chattanooga! Ongeliegh Gipson will start us off with a background on carbon sequestration, Ted Redmond with Pale Blue Dot will discuss the emerging trends from Chattanooga’s Green House Gas Inventory. Rick Huffines with the Tennessee River Gorge will explain how they are supporting carbon sequestration and Elizabeth Hammitt with EPB will be talking about RECs and how they are different from carbon offsets with how they are useful to accomplishing carbon goals.
Although we can't meet in person and have a yummy lunch, we hope you will consider supporting our local green|light restaurants by getting to-go or delivery! Check out menus for Lupi's, Vibrant Meals, Niedlov's, Frothy Monkey & Southern Squeeze.
