Lunch & Learn: Carbon Offsets presented by the Appalachian Carbon Exchange

  • green|spaces 63 East Main Street Chattanooga, TN 37408 United States (map)

What are carbon offsets? How does it relate to my carbon footprint? How does this impact my business?

Join us for a lunch & learn on June 14th with Ongeleigh Underwood of the Appalachian Carbon Exchange.

In April, the City of Chattanooga passed the
Climate Action Plan. We are urging all of our green|light businesses to adopt a carbon goal in conjunction with the City's goal of net-zero community wide by 2050.

Interested in purchasing offsets? Purchasing offsets through ACE goes to support nature based carbon sequestration projects that are all within the Chattanooga region. Through our partnership with the Appalachian Carbon Exchange, we are able to provide offsets that are registered on the American Carbon Registry. This purchase represents certified forest carbon, all found within 100 miles of downtown Chattanooga.

Ongeleigh Underwood works on climate solutions by managing complex, collaborative initiatives from inception to growth. With a background in Environmental Science, she has experience working in environmentally based start-ups and nonprofit agencies.  Her current roles include the Managing Director of the Circular Carbon Network, an initiative of the XPRIZE Carbon Removal and the Executive Director of the Appalachian Carbon Exchange, based in Chattanooga TN.
